Today many of us from Naturism in Wales will be heading to Doncaster to support our friends Kelly & Tom at their naturist event, Nudestock 2026. With the heatwave already settling in and gloriously bright skies greeting us this morning, families and friends across Wales are loading cars, packing tents and setting off with excitement for a weekend built around togetherness, freedom and community.

Events like these are a reminder that social naturism is about far more than simply removing clothing. At its heart, naturism is about removing barriers between people. It creates spaces where conversation becomes easier, where laughter feels more genuine and where people are valued not for status, appearance or background, but simply for who they are.

In an increasingly disconnected world, authentic social interaction matters more than ever. Many people today feel isolated despite being constantly surrounded by technology and online communication. Naturist communities offer something refreshingly different — real connection, shared experiences and welcoming environments where people can relax and truly be themselves.

Whether it is sitting around a campfire, sharing food with new friends, enjoying live music together or simply embracing the warmth of the summer sun in a safe and respectful environment, these moments have enormous value. They remind us that community is not built through exclusivity or image, but through kindness, openness and shared humanity.

Across Britain there are many independent naturist communities working hard to create these opportunities for people, often without the unnecessary “buff pound” premiums that can place social experiences out of reach for some. Grassroots naturism continues to thrive because ordinary people continue to invest their time, energy and passion into creating welcoming spaces for others.

Candy Farm has a long-standing history within the naturist community and it is wonderful to be supporting them again this year. Venues and organisers like these help keep the spirit of social naturism alive by creating affordable, accessible and genuinely community-driven events where people matter most.

Importantly, it is still not too late to join them. At just £25 per night, Nudestock 2026 offers an affordable opportunity to experience naturist community in its purest form — relaxed, inclusive and centred around friendship and positivity.

Naturism has always been strongest when it brings people together. Not divided by labels, status or appearance, but united through respect, acceptance and shared experiences. Every social event, every gathering and every conversation helps strengthen a culture that values people first.

As many of us begin our journeys to Doncaster today, there is a real sense of excitement not simply for the event itself, but for what it represents — community, belonging and the uplifting reminder that human connection still matters.

Safe travels to everybody attending and we hope you all have a truly wonderful week together.
