There is something truly special about exploring the Welsh countryside on foot. From peaceful woodland trails and rolling hills to dramatic mountain views and quiet coastal paths, Wales offers some of the most beautiful walking landscapes anywhere in Britain.

Experiencing them skyclad, surrounded by friends who share the same values of kindness, respect and acceptance, makes those moments even more memorable.
One of the most popular ways to experience naturism in Wales is through our organised naked walks. Throughout the year, members enjoy a growing programme of free guided walks across North Wales, welcoming both experienced naturists and those taking their very first steps into social naturism. Every walk is carefully planned with consideration given to the route, the environment and the experience of everyone taking part.

Our North Wales walking programme managed by NWNR continues to grow, with regular organised walks giving members free opportunities to explore some of Wales’ most spectacular scenery together. Every member is welcome to register and attend, whether you’re joining us for your first walk or returning to catch up with familiar faces. Many lasting friendships within our community began simply by sharing a peaceful walk through the Welsh countryside.

Walking naturally brings people together. Conversations flow more easily, laughter comes without effort and there is no pressure to be anything other than yourself. Away from the distractions of everyday life, people often discover a genuine sense of belonging. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you do for a living, your age, your body shape or your background. Within our community, everyone is simply accepted as they are.
Naturism has never been about appearance. It is about authenticity.
When we remove our clothes, many people also find they begin to let go of unnecessary worries, comparisons and expectations.

Walking skyclad allows us to reconnect with nature in a wonderfully simple way. Feeling the breeze across your skin, the warmth of the sunshine, the freshness after a summer shower and the textures of the natural world reminds us how connected we really are to our environment.
The physical benefits of walking are already well recognised. Regular walking supports cardiovascular health, improves mobility, strengthens muscles and helps maintain overall fitness. Combine those benefits with time spent outdoors, fresh air, natural surroundings and the positive social connections that develop during group walks, and it becomes an experience that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing.

For many members, the friendships formed during our walks become just as valuable as the walks themselves. Coffee afterwards, shared meals, future adventures and ongoing conversations all help create a genuine community built upon mutual respect and encouragement. Nobody needs to feel isolated when there are welcoming people ready to share the journey.
One of the things that makes Naturism in Wales different is our commitment to making participation accessible. Our organised walking events are completely free for members to attend. We believe that enjoying nature, building friendships and supporting wellbeing should never be limited by cost.

Our walking programme is just one part of a much wider calendar of free member activities taking place across Wales. Throughout the year, members can enjoy a variety of social gatherings, outdoor adventures, online community events and opportunities to meet like-minded people in relaxed, welcoming environments. Whether you prefer walking through forests, spending time at the coast, enjoying a quiet coffee with friends or joining one of our online community sessions, there is something for everyone.

At its heart, naturism is not simply about being without clothes.
It is about belonging.
It is about accepting yourself and accepting others without judgement.
It is about showing kindness to yourself and extending that same kindness to everyone you meet.

It is about living the skyclad philosophy with confidence, respect and authenticity.
Every walk is another opportunity to discover not only the beauty of Wales, but also the warmth of a community where people genuinely care for one another. If you’ve ever wondered whether naturist walking might be for you, perhaps the next path you follow will be the one that leads to lifelong friendships and a place where you truly feel you belong.
We’d love to welcome you on the next walk so check out the events pages at www.naturism.wales
