Naturism & Me: A Lifetime of Friendship, Freedom and Belonging

Naturism has been part of our lives for many years, and when we look back, it is remarkable just how much it has given us. What may begin simply as enjoying the freedom of being without clothes soon becomes something much deeper. For us, it has brought friendships, experiences and opportunities that we might never otherwise have known.
Some of our happiest memories have come through naturism. We have met people from all walks of life, travelled to new places, shared holidays and social occasions, and made friendships that have lasted far beyond the events where they first began. There is something wonderfully uncomplicated about meeting people as naturists. So many of the usual signals of status and appearance disappear, and you simply get to know the person standing in front of you.
As we have grown older, that sense of connection has become even more important. Naturism has never been about looking a particular way or trying to recapture youth. Quite the opposite. It has allowed us to appreciate our bodies for the lives they have carried us through and to enjoy the freedom of simply being ourselves.
Finding Naturism Wales has added another chapter to that journey. It has given us something that perhaps matters more than ever: a community to which we can genuinely belong. It is somewhere friendships can continue to grow, new experiences can still be discovered and people of different ages and backgrounds can share something that has enriched our own lives for decades.
A lifetime of naturism has taught us that the greatest thing you take away from it is rarely the nudity itself. It is the people you meet, the memories you make and the feeling that somewhere, amongst all of them, you have found your people.
