Our Biggest Adventures Are Still Ahead

There is something rather exciting about looking at a calendar and realising that it has stopped being a collection of dates and started becoming a collection of adventures.

That is exactly how the Naturism Wales calendar for 2027 is beginning to feel.

What excites me most isn’t simply how much is appearing on it. It is the sheer variety of opportunities we are creating for people to experience naturism, friendship, travel and community in completely different ways.

Next year, our community will be travelling considerably further afield.

We have two destinations in Ireland planned, continuing the friendships and connections already developing across the Irish Sea. We will also be heading to Euronat in France, giving members the opportunity to experience one of Europe’s established naturist destinations together.

Then things get considerably more colourful.

Quite literally.

We’re looking towards body-painting festivals across Europe, where creativity, art and the human body come together in a celebration that feels wonderfully compatible with the confidence and freedom we value within naturism.

But some of the adventures I’m most looking forward to will happen right here in Wales.

Our planned van tours around Wales will offer a completely different way of exploring our country: coastlines, mountains, little towns, remote landscapes and those wonderful places you discover almost by accident because somebody says, “I know somewhere…”

That is my kind of travelling.

Alongside those bigger adventures, we’re developing a growing programme of events, gatherings and experiences closer to home.

There are already plenty of dates appearing on our Events page and calendar, giving members opportunities to meet, explore, laugh and experience naturism together.

And what you can currently see is only part of it.

There is still much more to be announced and much more to be released.

Naturism Wales has never been about filling boxes on a calendar simply so we can say we’re busy. I want us to create genuine opportunities and experiences.

For one person that might mean travelling abroad with a group for the first time. For another it could be discovering somewhere extraordinary in Wales from the back of a campervan. Somebody else might want creativity, wellbeing, walking, music, friendship or simply the confidence of knowing that when they arrive somewhere alone, they won’t remain alone for very long.

A strong community should have room for all of them.

And increasingly, those experiences don’t finish when everybody goes home.

Our online community is growing too.

Members can now chat in real time, make voice calls and video call one another directly through the Naturism Wales online community — completely free of charge as part of membership.

There are no additional apps to download, and members don’t need to exchange personal phone numbers or other personal contact details simply to maintain the friendships they make within our community.

That is important to me.

Community shouldn’t depend upon everybody being in the same field, venue or country at the same time.

Someone you meet in Ireland can still make you laugh on a Tuesday evening in November. The person beside you at Euronat can become the familiar face you see online when everybody returns home. Friendships started during a weekend in Wales can continue developing throughout the year.

Technology doesn’t replace getting together.

It helps us stay together.

And perhaps that represents where Naturism Wales is heading better than anything else.

We’re not becoming less Welsh as our horizons expand. We’re taking Welsh naturism further — creating opportunities and experiences for naturists throughout the UK and Ireland, while building friendships and connections that increasingly reach into Europe.

We take our values with us: Acceptance, Kindness, Respect & Community.

We take Every Body Matters with us.

Most importantly, we take that simple belief that wherever somebody comes from, however experienced they are and whatever their journey into naturism has looked like, everyone is welcome.

The seasons might be changing, but our community isn’t slowing down.

Keep watching the Naturism Wales Events page and calendar, because new destinations, events, experiences and opportunities will continue to appear as they’re ready to be released.

There is considerably more happening behind the scenes than we’ve announced so far.

More places to discover. More experiences to share. More ways to connect. More reasons to belong.

2027 is already shaping up to be an extraordinary year for our community — and we’re nowhere near finished announcing it.

Our biggest adventures are still ahead.

So here’s today’s question: with everything we’ve announced already — and knowing there is much more still to come — what would you love to see Naturism Wales add to 2027?
